Power BI is a platform that enables users to change data to produce informative and engaging visuals. Power BI Desktop's user-friendly interface makes it simple to connect to a data source and produce effective results.

Once you have created a report, you can publish it from Power BI Desktop to the Power BI service, allowing the audience to read it in a web browser. With Power BI, you can pull data from multiple sources like Excel files or Microsoft Dataverse. With Dataverse as a data source, you can rest assured that your data is stored securely in the cloud and only specific users can access it.

Power BI Reporting with Microsoft

You can visualise and make conclusions about the best method to protect corporate finances by creating a Power BI report with graphs that shows the frequency and overall cost of each spending category. Making more cost-effective decisions w makes it possible for you to make cost-effective decisions. When it comes to creating business applications that are practical, complex, and cater to your needs, combining the capabilities of Power Apps and Power BI won’t disappoint you. You can also use Power BI reporting services to create a data report.

Link out to Power BI reports

Now that you have created a Power BI report and Power Apps, the next step is to intervene in the two. A shareable link to a report is generated once it has been created and published in a workspace in the Power BI Service. You may include a clickable label or button in your Power App that directs users to the report in a new Power BI tab.

It might not make sense to redirect users to a new browser depending on the context of your app. In this scenario, a Power BI report can be surfaced immediately on an application screen. To make a workspace, dashboard, or report appear, simply place a Power BI tile and then choose the desired options. Users no longer need to open a new browser tab to interact with the Power BI report once the app is published and shared.

To display a Power BI file in an application, certain conditions must be met. The report and the app must be developed in the same environment. If they are not in the same environment, you cannot add a report to an app.

Another prerequisite that may not be as evident is that the report must be shared with everybody who needs to access it from within the app. If a user has access to see the app but not the report, the Power BI tile will show empty for that user.

Create interactive visuals

There are numerous visualisation choices in Power BI. Your data comes to life with the help of customizable tables, maps, graphs, etc. Once a visualisation has been added to the report, you may select the fields you want to be displayed. You may also establish a colour theme and font option to make sure your reports comply with branding guidelines.
