Menu Ideas
If you have to prepare a menu for a party, don't think twice, here we give you 6 dishes to prepare that are usually very well received. They are easy to prepare, you can make them in advance and they are tremendously good.

Organising a menu for a party or all kinds of celebrations is not usually easy. In the end, you can end up spending more time thinking about what dishes to prepare instead of cooking them. It does not matter if it is a children's birthday menu or one for adults, it is too easy to get over-involved!

For this reason, in this article, we share with you typical dishes that are usually big hits for both birthday and cocktail parties: simple dishes that can be prepared in advance and that do not prevent you from missing party time.

1. Baked Dumplings

Baked dumplings are the best option when you have a lot of guests and you want to leave everything prepared in advance, or at least minimise the dishes on the menu.

Personally, I prefer puff pastry dumplings than those made with wafers, since these are usually much tastier when cold. You can prepare them even a day or two before, fill them with whatever you want and the result is sensational.

2. Homemade Croquettes

Croquettes are one of the unavoidable classics of parties. My mother always prepared them and always tried to save some to eat the next day after the party.

What would a party be without croquettes! Try them with various fillings, you will never get tired of them.

If you have many guests, a fryer will be the best option to have everything ready. Calmly fry all the croquettes that you need, and present them freshly made or cold because they are tremendous either way.

3. Homemade Chicken Nuggets

If you try preparing your own homemade nuggets, you will be very pleasantly surprised. They are simple to prepare, and you can give them a personal touch by modifying the ingredients (chicken meat, cream cheese, or spices) and they are much healthier than the ones you buy.

Also, one of the advantages is that you can make them in the oven or in a pan. When prepared in the oven, they taste sensational, which is what party food is all about!

If you accompany them with a delicious homemade or purchased sauce, then all the better.

4. Sausages With Bacon

Sausages wrapped with bacon is one of the great classics of many childhood birthday parties. But they are also great for many other special occasions.

You can make bacon-wrapped sausages or dates with bacon, this will provide a variety of tastes, but they are still just as simple to prepare. You can also prepare them in advance because the flavour of both ingredients is still very powerful.

5. Chicken Sticks With Sauce

Chicken sticks are sublime and a popular snack with almost everyone. You can prepare them in advance, giving them a very crispy touch with frying.

For the batter, you can make it with flour, egg and breadcrumbs or just choose one of the two. You can also add other ingredients such as some spicy dip or make it more exotic with curry powder. My personal favourite is a honey mustard sauce.

And, of course, we can not forget something sweet...

6. Sweet Snacks

Delicious sweet snacks should not be missing in any celebration regardless of what is celebrated. It does not matter if we talk about birthday cakes or some puff pastry filled with chocolate to nibble on, no party is complete without offering something sweet.

A good option, quick and easy to prepare, would be either chocolate croissants that are made the same day or puff pastry shells filled with delicious chocolate spread, or maybe even both!

If your guests are adults, be sure to offer some light and refreshing drinks to accompany these menu suggestions. Light and refreshing Rosé wine is always a favourite, like the superb selection offered by PAF Wine.

With these quick and easy menu ideas, your party is sure to be a huge hit with your guests.
