WHEN Johannes Tshokwe’s wife and kids went missing on Monday, he immediately feared the worst.
He went straight to the police and for four days the search and rescue, K9 and air wing units frantically searched for them.
BUT WHEN HIS WIFE FINALLY TURNED UP HE GOT THE SHOCK OF HIS LIFE – SHE HAD BEEN STAYING WITH HER LOVER ALL ALONG!
The 44-year-old husband and father from Moletjie Mabokelele Village in Limpopo told Daily Sunhis wife, Zeth (38) went missing after boarding a taxi in Modimolle. She was on her way to pick up her three kids, aged between five and 12, at her mum’s house in Vaalwater.
When she never returned home and her cellphone was switched off, Johannes was beside himself with worry. He opened a missing person’s case with the Modimolle police and a massive search was launched. For four days the cops, Johannes and his family searched the bush for Zeth and the kids.
Little did he know she was spending some time with her lover.
“I’m so disappointed that she chose to be with another man, exposing my children to strangers and forgetting about me. I love her. She’s the mother of my children but I will never forget what she did,” the broken-hearted husband said.
While police time and money was being wasted, Zeth was just 30km away from her mum’s house.
Johannes said after the search was unsuccessful they decided to put photos of Zeth and the children in local shops in Modimolle.
As he was driving around with the photos, Johannes happened to ask two men on the side of the road if they had seen Zeth. He was horrified when one of them confessed that she was his lover and was staying with him!
The police were called to accompany the husband to the lover’s house and he found his wife and kids there.
Zeth’s sister, Anna Matlou, told Daily Sun her family was very shocked. “We never suspected she was out there having a good time because we didn’t even know she was cheating,” she said.
Zeth refused to speak to the People’s Paper. Limpopo police spokeswoman Colonel Ronnel Otto confirmed that missing persons’ cases were opened by Tshokwe and that the police immediately launched a man hunt for the mother and kids because there were children involved.
“The mother and children were found safely. The case has been closed,” Otto said.
