Transporting A Vehicle
Relocating from one place to another doesn't always have to be on your own vehicle. Sometimes, you might require a car carrier when the distance is too much to drive. Also, if needed, would you contact any other agency to transport your valuable car? Or you would research for quality services for the same? What would you consider in such a dilemma? How much distance should be appropriate to contact an enclosed auto transport? The auto transport company doesn't just drive your car and park it in the new hallway. Instead, for better safety, your car is loaded in a truck and delivered to the new location without any risk of even a minor scratch.

However, the decision is up to you. But, there are a few things to be thoroughly checked before handing your car over to the enclosed car transport. Make sure you prepare your vehicle well in advance for better protection and ease for the transporting company.

Wash thoroughly

Minor scratches and dents can only be noticed on a clean surface. So, everyone poses a doubt if the car will be damaged in transit and try to detect any scratches after delivery. If the car is not washed, dirt and dust can hide a lot of minor dings. Make sure the condition of the car remains the same before and after it reaches the destination. It is preferable that you make a detailed video of all the sides and confirm the condition after delivery. Washing also includes cleaning the inside of the car. This helps us avoid anything from being tossed around and slandering the lush interior.

Disable all the alarms

The car can start to raise its voice once it brushes against something or hears a loud noise. Make sure you go through the user manual to disable all the alarms of the car which might be activated by default.

Don't fill in yet

Try to avoid filling in the gas before loading it up in the truck. The vehicle only needs to be transported and if driving needs arise, it would only be for a short distance. Try to keep the gas as low as possible to avoid it being tossed around creating considerable chances of spilling outside.

Check tire pressure

Over or under inflation of the tires is as risky in the enclosed trailer transport as it is on the road. There is nothing special about the tire pressure while transportation. It must be kept on the appropriate level similar to the amount used while driving. Make sure the company uses the correct equipment for the process of loading and unloading because alterations in pressure are most apparent during this process.

Try and remove the add-ons

Custom accessories like spoilers, antennas, window visors, etc. are very common in every vehicle. These accessories can be easily damaged because they add an extra dimension to the car. The odd size makes them prone to scratches and dents in the space aptly adequate for the raw car.

Lock your vehicle

Even if your vehicle is in an enclosed car carrier, still it needs to be locked as there is no reason for it to be opened until delivery. It reduces the risk of theft even if the truck takes rest on the way.
