Social network Twitter has gone down on Tuesday morning in what is a second major outage for the service in just a few months.
On Tuesday, by 11:00 Twitter appeared to be unavailable on both web and mobile.
The problem has affected users worldwide with the Guardian reporting that the micro-blogging site had experienced a “service disruption”.
A message on the site said: “Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing - we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.”
This is not the first time the site has had problems.
The site had a brief outage in November last year and some users took to rival social network Facebook to complain about the outage.
“I've had to come on to Facebook to moan about Twitter being down, honestly what is the world coming to?,” Twitter user Richard wrote on Twitter’s Facebook page.
