Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book have beaten Apple’s iPad in sales, as measured by the top online mass retailers in the United States for October 2015.
A new report titled “1010data Facts for Ecom Insights, January 2014 – October 2015” revealed that Microsoft overtook Apple in tablet sales in October, after regularly trailing the iPad maker.
According to Winbeta, Microsoft tablets accounted for 45% of tablet sales in October – compared to Apple’s 17%.
It should be noted that the strong sales from Microsoft followed its announcement of the new Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book at the company’s October hardware event.
