Somizi Mhlongo has announced his return to the world of dance as a choreographer after taking a break for two years.

Somizi Buyani Mhlongo-Motaung is a South African actor, media personality and choreographer. In 1992, he appeared in the musical and political film, Sarafina! which gained him prominence.

For the past weeks, Somizi has been on news, trending on social media after his husband Mohale Motaung Mhlongo reported that Somizi is abusing him physically.

As we know by now that the country and people of South Africa take abuse very seriously, companies such as Metro FM and Idols had to give Somizi Mhlongo special leave from work.


Unfortunately for shows like Idols, his absence brought them bad results since the viewers had dropped and some protested that the show must bring him back with immediate effect.

Today Somizi Mhlongo Motaung announced that after two years break, he had returned to his work. Somizi Mhlongo has announced his return to the world of dance as a choreographer after taking a break for two years.

Fans loved the announcement and vowed to support him as they always do. But this didn't stop Idols fans to call for Idols South Africa to bring Somizi back.
