While the matter of her snub was publicly discussed, Mbedu opted to retweet and share posts of congratulations for the seven nods the production received. Moreover, she did not share how she felt about the snub. More so, considering that Mbedu has been nominated twice for the Emmys for her role in the local production, Is’thunzi.

Furthermore, Mbedu took to Twitter to suggest that her focus is currently on her craft. In the post, she highlighted how she is looking at the trajectory of American actor, Jonathan Majors’ career as one to emulate. This is as Majors earned his first notable Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for his portrayal of Atticus Freeman on Lovecraft Country.
