Busiswa Gqulu has taken to social media to open up about being abused by two of her ex-boyfriends.

The musician took to Instagram on Monday night to share a three-part video series where she speaks about being abused in her last two relationships. The star shared that she was in two abusive relationships between 2013 and 2019. 

She shared that she has been abused physically, psychologically, emotionally and financially. Busiswa shared that she was allegedly abused by Sfiso Mazibuko and her baby daddy Katlego Mlangeni. She expressed that she shared her story because she wanted to help women out who might find themselves in a similar situation.

"I'm not making this video to speak about these two individuals. I'm making this video to talk about gender-based violence but also to talk to women and girls who have or may ever find themselves in those situations.

"I'm here to say to ladies who are in abusive relationships or who'll ever come across that situation, God forbid. You can't. It's not your place, it's not your responsibility, it's not your job to change an abuser." Busiswa said she kept her situation a secret because she was worried about what her fans would think.
