Meet SA’s Next Biggest Rapper: 13 Year-Old Langa Masina A.K.A Steero



The thirteen year-old rapper Langa “Steero” Masina is changing the hip hop music industry. The young rapper started out making beats in his bedroom. Hip Hop muso Khuli Chana also said that Steero is definitely the “future” of hip hop


Steero broke into the industry recently when the prominent rapper Khuli Chana posted a picture of himself and the teen, saying that a bright future awaits him. “It was amazing and to hear him say that to me was a feeling that I have never felt before. It meant a lot because of how much I look up to him. I really look forward to working with him” says the young rapper

In just his short career, Steero has now rubbed shoulders with US rapper 9th Wonder and has been featured on local music shows such Soweto TV. Steero further said that he fell inlove with hip hop when he was still in grade 4.

His career was influenced by his father Ramesh Masina who is also one of the pioneers of hip hop. “My entire family has hip hop roots and so I guess it came naturally to me” said Steero. There are clearly big things in store for the teenager. It was also reported that his clothing line will soon go into production. Big ups Steero!
