Uzalo villainess Dawn Thandeka King, The Queen actress Slindile Nodangala and Ex-Scandal star Lorcia Cooper will headline a new prison drama.
Titled Lockdown, the new Mzansi Magic series is set in a fictional high security female prison.
The novice show is billed as tough, terse, gripping and the channel’s edgiest drama series to date.
The Orange is the New Black-esque show will feature back-stories that will unravel to reveal the paths that led the characters behind locked gates.
Scheduled to première in January 2017; Zola Nombona, Luxolo Ndabeni, Nomsa Buthelezi, Lindiwe Ndlovu and Mthunzi Ntoyi complete the star-studded cast.
