Julie Apicella from UK shared photos of her daughter, Emily who died  in December 2015 after a three year battle with cancer. The photo on the left shows Emily in her uniform in 2015, while the other which was taken in 2016,  is a photo of the same room but shows just an empty space.

The heartbroken mother accompanied the images with a touching Facebook post. Her post went viral prompting heartfelt reactions.

She also explain that her reason for sharing the photo was to raise awareness of childhood cancer:
'Nearly everyone on my list has children or family members and this could be your reality in the future. 'One in 285 children will get a cancer diagnoses. Raising awareness of symptoms and that childhood cancer is not rare is the first hurdle to jump Eventually the gold ribbon of childhood cancer will be as well known as the pink ribbon for breast cancer but it takes people to actually post on social media ect for this to happen.
