Mandoza’s widow Mpho has courageously poured her heart out to mourners who have gathered at the Grace Bible Church for a funeral service currently underway for the late Kwaito legend.
Mpho shared fond memories of how they got through difficult situations in their family.
A brave Mpho told mourners that she knows she’s not alone and by the grace of God she will raise her kids.
“I am not alone‚ I have the whole nation to help me raise these kids‚” she said.
Mpho went on to add that no matter what anyone said‚ Mandoza was an amazing husband.
“No matter what anyone said he was an amazing husband and he was an amazing father. It’s been 18 years now‚ I love him and I will love him till I die‚” she said.
Mpho added that Mandoza raised beautiful kids with her and she knows that he is watching down from heaven‚ and will send her a “ball of fire” to raise their children.
Leaving mourners emotional‚ Mpho recalled the last day she spent with her husband.
“He could not eat the whole day. People from different churches came to pray for him‚ we prayed and we prayed. We didn’t sleep the whole night‚ and at around 5am he woke up and said‚ ‘happy birthday baby‚ I’m going to fight this battle‚’” she said.
Mpho added that Mandoza wanted to fight this battle but God said he needed this angel in heaven.
Mpho said that she is beyond grateful for the overwhelming support she has received.
“Thank you to everyone. If I could stand on top of a mountain and shout thank you‚ I would.”
Mpho vowed to keep Mandoza’s legacy alive and also announced that their record label will thrive in his honour.
