Pretoria – It was all smiles on Saturday when South Africa’s youngest disk jockey who is popularly known as DJ Arch Junior in music circles got engaged to the love of his life despite his questionable age.
The four year old boy whose real name is Oratilwe Hlongwane became the youngest person ever to win SA’s Got Talent when the sixth season of reality talent show came to an end, walking away with R500 000
His father,Glen Hlongwane confirmed the development and added that he could not hide his happiness to see his son further achieving goals that his age-mates cannot.
”I gave birth to a legend, at only two years of age he was already a DJ with a stamp all over the continent, now at another two year milestone he is already engaged to the love of his life and ready for marriage. Everything happens so fast for this boy, I’m ready to support him as always, I mean its his money after all right?” said Glen Hlongwane in tears of joy.
He further added that the date of his son’s wedding will soon be published as it is still not yet approved by other family members who are studying and working outside the country.
Critics are however up against DJ Arch senior for approving the marriage so early, citing that the little boy should be focused on studies and ‘growing up’ for now but Glen feels the time is right despite the stinging criticism, comparing his son to Nigeria’s ‘naughty’ dwarf actors popularly known as Aki na Ukwa (Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikedieze) whom he said are also married.
Efforts to get a comment from DJ Arch and his newly found love were fruitless as they were reported to have gone for shopping for their wedding shopping.
