A well-known restaurant in Centurion near Pretoria was destroyed by fire on Sunday.
The blaze at the thatch-roofed Stone Cradle restaurant was fanned by strong, hot winds.
Bystanders says the restaurant was destroyed virtually within minutes.
The wind blew the flames across to the nearby nature reserve.
Two fire engines were used to put out the blaze in both the restaurant and the veld.
ER24 spokesperson,Chitra Bodasing said no one was injured.
