Lady Du and Andile Mxakaza

South Africa's amapiano sensation, Lady Du, has revealed that she is not just a pretty face with a good voice but she is well educated, not with one or two or three qualifications but she possee a total number of 19 qualifications.

Last week, Lady Du was a guest judge on Idols SA as there are guest judges that are replacing Somizi Mhlongo.

The songstress, who is famously known for being a vocalist in the late Mpura and Busta 929 hit Amapiano song, Umsebenzi wethu. She has also worked with various artists in the Amapiano as the vocalist.

The Amapiano star is not married as yet but is happily engaged to the actress Andile Mxakaza. The Isibaya actor gave her a Bellagio engagement ring in August 2020 after four months of dating. The two had dated 12 years ago for only four months but have remained good friends.

She decided to go online, in her social media posts and flexed about her qualifications.

"I take everything I do seriously. You can put me anywhere, I have 19 qualification. I’m not just a musician. I’ve worked with cars, in logistics, in the beauty industry, I have a firefighting qualification, health and safety. I have anatomy and physiology and mine is not the normal one."

As usual, not everyone was happy for her as she dragged on the comments section, with some asking her if she is talking about a degree or just certificates.

They took to the comments and dragged her further as they distinguished the difference between the degree and the certificate, as well as the number of years it takes to complete such courses. People even counted the year she was born and the year that she got matriculated on and seemingly it did not add up for her complete all 19 qualifications.

However,in her response to the local publication, Daily sun, Lady Du, admitted that has diploma and other short course certificates.

"I studied on part time basis when I was in Scotland. Some of them are one year courses and some are six months courses. Sometimes I'd do two courses simultaneously and that is why I got so many. It actually took me five years to complete all of them," she said.

She added by saying that she is not last to study, " It's not difficult for me because I'm always indoors and I use my time wisely. As it is I am studying towards Music Law at UJ."

Here are some shady comments on her Facebook page:

Advocate That Kanika “So it took you 12 years to get those 19 qualifications. You were born in 1991 and completed matric in 2003/2004.

So, are you sure they are qualifications or certificates or competencies. I have a feeling I’ll be blocked. She has to come back and explain how she got them.”
