1Magic took to Twitter on Thursday, 15 July 2021, to confirm the return of seasoned veteran actor, Seputla Sebogodi to the popular telenovela, The River. The confirmation post came ahead of the recent episode, after his return was hinted at during the episode from Wednesday, 14 July 2021. Sebogodi returns to the telenovela to reprise his role as Mohumi, a former militia who shared a child with lead, Sindi Dlathu’s character, Lindiwe Dikana.

Mohumi’s storyline ended with him being imprisoned for holding the Dikanas and Mokoenas hostage, and later attempting to turn Tumi, who was played by Larona Moagi, against her mother, Lindiwe. This resulted in Tumi’s passing at the hands of her monther, as she wanted to report all the crimes that Lindiwe had committed.

While it was believed that no one except Lindiwe’s nuclear allies knew the cause of Tumi’s passing, the latest episode ended with a cliffhanger, as Mohumi suggested that he knew that Lindiwe was behind Tumi’s tragic passing.
