Cassper Nyovest took to Instagram on Friday, 2 July 2021, to share the first activation post for his Save Nompilo social media activism campaign. The campaign is for the public to donate proceeds to the account started in Nompilo’s name. Nompilo is a young woman from Swaziland, who has an extremely rare disease called cystic fibrosis. The condition is said to cause severe damage to one’s lungs, digestive system, and other organs in the body.

Nompilo currently has a Go Fund Me account which aims to raise R2 million. The funds will go into paying for her continued medical bills. Furthermore, should she need a lung transplant, the funds should be able to ensure that she will be able to afford it. Cassper also highlighted that the campaign for Nompilo continues to shine a light on eSwatini, in light of the ongoing mass protests.

It is reported that the country is currently facing unrest, as citizens are said to be revolting against the monarchy, which reportedly has dictatorial law over the country. Therefore, as much as his stance is not political, it highlights the contentious country even more.
