Menka's brother beats Kshitij up for having an interest in Saraswati. The wedding is almost cancelled, but Dhara decides to go ahead, taking everyone by surprise. Kshitij receives a letter just as he's about to leave town.

Saraswati hurriedly leaves her cupboard, that's full of jewellery, open. Kshitij goes to the Garodia house after receiving a letter. Saraswati's jewellery is stolen.

Yuvraj helps Kshitij escape. Saraswati is punished for the stolen jewellery and told she'll be going to her in-laws without anything. The family has several rituals to perform before the big day arrives.

Lakshmi is allowed to leave the room and attend a ritual. Savitri’s rights are again taken by Menka, as she performs a ceremony that is to be done by her.
