Important Dates For JEE Mains 2019

Every year lakhs of students prepare to appear for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. It's the Joint Entrance Exams held for admission to all engineering colleges in India. Getting a high score in JEE is vitally important to aspiring engineering students. This is because admissions into top-level colleges like IITs and NITs requires students to score incredibly high because the competition is fierce.

Here, we'll help you with tips and guidelines on how to crack JEE and get the best scores possible, so that you get into the IIT that you want. In this particular article, we'll be giving information about all JEE main dates that are important.

Important JEE Main Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has very recently released the admit cards for JEE Mains that are going to be held in January. Earlier on October 19th, information about the centres for the exam and date and shift timings for registered students of JEE Mains 2019 was released. Candidates can access this information by logging into the application portal for JEE Mains, using the allotted application number.

The exam for JEE paper I will be held online and for JEE paper II it will be held partially online, and partially in a written exam. Students are suggested to keep referring to the application portal, in order to not miss out on any important dates. We will be giving regular updates as they come along, right here on our site as well.

JEE Main 2019 January

Registration

The online forms for JEE mains 2019 January were made available on the 1st of September, 2018. Registrations for the same closed down on 30th September 2018.

Fee Payment, Uploading Photograph and Signature

The last date for the fee payment and uploading of student photograph and signature was 1st October 2018.

Form Correction Date

The period for making any corrections in the online application form was from 8th October - 14th October.




Announcement for Venue, Date, and Shift (Paper I and II)

The information about the date and shift for the exam I and II of JEE main was released on 5th October. The Venues for the exam centres were released a bit later, on 19th of October.

JEE Main Admit Cards

The admit cards for JEE Main 2019, were released back on 17th December 2018.


JEE Main Dates (Computer Based)

  • The JEE Main paper I online exam will be held on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th of January 2019.
  • The JEE Main paper II, the written exam will be held on 8th of January, 2019. 
The dates for JEE main answer key will be released soon after the entrance exams are over, for students to review and make a calculated guess about their results.

JEE Main Result

  • The results for JEE Main 2019 will be released on the 31st of January, 2019. 
The National Testing Agency (NTA) held JEE Mains twice in a single academic year. The computer-based exams are held in eight slots. This year, they are to be held in January and April. Each slot can accommodate around 2 lakh students, give or take. The JEE paper II consists of an online exam for Mathematics and Aptitude. A separate written exam is conducted for the subject drawing.

The syllabus for the exam, the paper pattern, exam fees, and the language the exam is held in, of course, will remain the same. This is done so candidates have better opportunities and a second chance to crack the JEEs. If a candidate chooses to appear twice for the exams, his highest score out of both the exams will be taken into consideration.

JEE Main 2019 April

Registration

The online registration for JEE Main 2019 April will start on the 8th of February. Candidates who plan to apply are suggested to get their documents in order and get done with the registration as early as possible. The last date of submission of online application form for JEE Main 2019 April is the 7th of March, 2019.

Fee Payment, Uploading Photograph and Signature

The date for Fee Payment, Uploading Photograph and Signature of the candidate will be announced at a later date.

Application Correction

The date for correction and rectification in the online application form will be announced at a later date.

Admit Card

The tentative date for the release of Admit Card has been set to 18th March 2019. Of course, don't forget to collect yours!

JEE Main Dates

  • The online computer-based online exam for JEE Mains April I will be held between the dates of 6th April to 20th April. 
The answer key will be released soon after the 21st of April and before the declaration of results. The answer key will give the students a good idea about what scores they'll get and their chances of getting into a high-level college.

JEE Main 2019 April Results

The date of results for 2019 April JEE Mains has been set to 30th April 2019. This is the day the candidates will come to know their scores and finally, how well they performed in both their exams. The results will decide the course of their career, i.e. which college they will get admitted into.

All India Ranks

The All India Rank for each candidate will be released sometime during the month of May. Specifically, it will tell the candidates their placements in relation to all other students who appeared for the exams. For e.g. a student with AIR 264 means he ranked 264 in India, among all the lakhs of students who appeared.

You should keep all these dates in consideration and keep checking our website regularly for any important updates about JEE Mains. Ensure that you study really hard and take enough rest. Mock tests are very helpful in getting accustomed to the pressures of the exam and will give you a good idea on which subjects you performed better at and which subjects need improvement. You should find out which subjects have a higher weight in terms of marks and should focus on perfecting them. Moreover, this will improve your chances of scoring higher.
