Nomuzi Mabena has today released her much-anticipated debut project Versus, an 11-track mixtape which is the culmination of Nomuzi’s musical efforts.

Along with the mixtape, Moozlie, as she is affectionately known, has also released the first single off the mixtape, called Getting Cash.

The song is an upbeat hustler’s anthem which inspires Moozlie’s fans to work for what they want.

The mixtape is produced by HopeMasta, and features other producing talents including Mr Kamera, VAM and Molly 1080.

Moozlie says she is personally thrilled to have found a female producer (Molly 1080) to work with.

Molly 1080 produced the 10th song on the mixtape, called Relaxxx.

The album also features Mzansi rap superstars like Yung Swiss, Victoria Kimani and Gemini Major.

In addition to releasing her first solo project, Moozlie has also just joined forces with Steve Madden Music in a groundbreaking move.

A first of its kind in South Africa, Steve Madden and Moozlie announced their new collaboration yesterday, called Moozlie Versus X Steve Madden Music.

Steve Madden launched the footwear label’s music program, Steve Madden Music in South Africa in late 2016.

The global initiative dedicates itself to scouting, highlighting and supporting artists who unapologetically resonate within a unique sound.
