In the latest affidavit as part of the domestic abuse legal battle between 999 boss, Arthur Mafokate and his former girlfriend, Busisiwe ‘Cici’ Twala, the Kwaito King alleges that Cici not only did Cici grab a DVD player and DSTV decoder with then intent to harm him, she supposedly attacked him with a coat hanger and a steel chair in addition to “sinking her teeth into his arms.”
He then went on to say that, that incident forced him to seek medical attention.
Mafokate has not been available for comment but his manager was recently quoted by Sunday World as saying “Arthur is not doing well emotionally and really loves Cici. What has happened has depressed him a lot. That is mainly because of the perception out there that he has beaten her up even though in all court papers, nowhere did Cici say that.”
In new details however, Arthur detailed how the incident in which Cici was injured unfolded.
“I gave it [the cellphone] to her but it was locked. Busisiwe then threw the phone back at me and said I’m making a fool of her, I must unlock it. I laughed and told her that I would never give her my phone. I would only do it the day I delete my old messages because I don’t want her to judge me,” wrote Mafokate in the affidavit.
And that is when their brawl through the house alleged ensued.
Mafokate then described how he got out of his car and reversed out of the driveway in order to get away. He claims to have stopped the car when he heard his ex-girlfriend screaming before she came to bang on the car’s windscreen.
“I slowly drove tot he gate. I slowed down at the gate and pressed the remote to open so I could go out. The gate doesn’t have a sensor, I quickly drove out,” he added.
He claimed to have been surprised when he heard her screaming not far from the car but continued driving because he could not see her.
He then added that he called the police and returned to the house with them where he had to call an ambulance after finding an injured Cici waiting at a neighbors house.
The police then arrested Mafokate for assault with with intent to do previous bodily harm. He also alleges that he instructed his staff to get Cici medical attention which he paid for.
