FROM sharing major stages as musicians, they find themselves in the spotlight as soccer ambassadors.

NaakMusiQ and Tira are rallying behind the two Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

This is the third year that Tira is an Amakhosi ambassador, while this is NaakMusiQ’s first appearance behind the Bucs.

The game will take place at FNB Stadium next Saturday.

Yesterday during a visit to the Daily Sunoffices, NaakMusiQ – whose
real name is Anga Makubalo – said getting behind his favourite team was something he’d always wanted to do.

“Now that I have the opportunity, I’m really excited. And it shows how excited the fans are. All the tickets for the game are already sold out.”

He’s been busy this year and has worked on Tropika Island of Treasure, Igazi, Z’bondiweand Isidingo, and he’s about to start shooting on Ring of Lies.

He also collaborated with Bekzin Terris on a song called Run Run.

“I’vejust released my latest single called Mamelani. We’re only halfway through the year and I’m going strong,” said NaakMusiQ.

Mthokozisi “Tira” Khathi said the energy from being the ambassador for his favourite team lifts him up.

“The adrenaline rush keeps growing. It’s always good to rally behind my favourite team,” said Tira.

Talking about his music, Tira said he’s just released a single called Malume, which features Tipcee and Joejo.

“It’s doing so well and I’m excited about it. We’re also putting together a compilation called Afrotainment Summer 2017.”
