Hopefully, she won't be asked this question anymore.

There's always that one rumor that just never seems to go away. For Minnie Dlamini, it's a story that was written while she was still dating Itumeleng Khune.

A few years ago, it was reported that the soccer player had paid R1 million lobola for her.

The TV presenter set the record straight on the Fresh Breakfast on Metro FM on Friday morning.

"I was never, ever, ever, ever 'lobolad' by a soccer player in my life. It never happened. So, we can lay that to rest, please guys, it did not happen. The first time I got 'lobolad' was now, and I'm getting married now," she said on the show. Minnie also added that that's the craziest thing that she's read about herself.

She said the rumor has stuck with her for years. When asked if there's anything she could have done anything differently in that relationship, Minnie said no. "I just wish I woke up sooner, that's all," she added.

Right now the starlet is preparing for the biggest day of her life - her wedding. Minnie, who hosts Home Ground on Mzansi Magic, got engaged in December 2016.

Speaking on the show, she also revealed: "I knew that if I was ever going to get married it was going to be him. And if it wasn't him I don't think I would ever have gotten married."

DJ Fresh asked if she's going to have a double-barrel surname, and Minnie made it clear that it's going to be Dlamini "till I die". She explained that Dlamini will be kept for branding purposes. However, Minnie will legally change her surname to her husband's.

"Minnie Dlamini will no longer exist legally."
