Last night’s episode of Uthando Nesthumbu saw the three other Mseleku wives surprise MaCele with a party that brought her to tears and it was a beautiful moment to watch.
Musa was in on it as he brought her to the lodge that the family owns and pretended that their pastor wanted to speak to him and MaCele before he leaves. He then lead her into a party where her mother and aunt were secretly brought in as part of the surprise.
The purpose of that party was to thank her for welcoming the new wives into the marriage as well as for Musa to thank the Cele family for supporting him and allowing him to take their daughter on this journey of polygamy.
“I cannot describe the kind of wife MaCele is. She’s one of a kind, I feel blessed and honoured by the almighty for bringing me together with MaCele,” said Mseleku of his wife before sharing how they met.

In a surprising moment, the usually-quiet MaYeni stood up and sang before making an emotional speech in honor of the first wife and as a stoic MaCele looked on while MaYeni was speaking. She later shared in her diary session that despite the lack of emotion on her face, she was moved by the speech.

They then gave her a few gifts, accompanied by some kind words from MaKhumalo and it was all kisses, hugs and beautiful words...
...Until it was time for MaCele’s speech. Even her tone had us feeling like she was sending some subliminal shots to SOMEONE in the room. We just have no idea who.
“Greetings to the father of my children, my earthly king. My husband whom I cannot compare to anything in this world. When i call him my earthly king, some may wonder how I call him that when he took other wives after me…”
Through it all, Musa’s face was like…
He looked like he was looking for the nearest possible exit to escape from and so did her guests as they also looked a little uncomfortable during the speech.
And you can guess what MaYeni was doing while this was going on…

But MaCele thanked the other wives at the end of her speech, even calling them her sisters before feeding them each some of her cake.
We don’t know about the rest of you but we honestly think things are okay. No relationship, even a monogamous one, exists without any conflict whatsoever but the Mseleku family seems to slowly be finding their footing.

On a lighter note:

As much as the nation loves to hate MaCele, they have also have a soft spot for third wife, MaKhumlo, since day one.
In fact, the show’s viewers have now affectionately dubbed her “the wife of the nation.”
Catch the repeat this Saturday at 6pm on Mzansi Magic DSTV Channel 161.
