MEDIA personality Nomzamo Mbatha is rumoured to be tying the knot soon. The Isibaya actress has kept everything about this relationship a secret. Ladies, you can breathe a sigh of relief because according to a source, she’s not marrying Masego Maponyane, better known as Maps.
This is shocking news because the two have been rumoured to be dating for years now. However, it is worth noting that the two have done nothing to put off that rumour. In fact, they’ve fueled it to last this long because neither would come out and set the record straight.
It’s said that she’s marrying an unknown white man who doesn’t want to be in the spotlight. The source tells Move! that the beauty is busy organising a wedding.
“Nomzamo is getting married soon. She is marrying a white man and she’s very protective of him because she doesn’t post a thing about him on social media,” says the source.
Even though the details are sketchy, our mole claims that the pair will be saying their “I do’s” in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal. Nomzamo has kept mum about this because she’s not even wearing an engagement ring.
Nomzamo confirmed it during an interview on SABC3’s Expresso that she was once engaged. Considering what she said in that interview, it’s pleasantly surprising that the actress has given marriage another chance.
“I have been engaged. Yes, I have had a rock on my finger and I don’t plan on having a rock on my finger ever again,” she revealed at the time.
It was reported that she was engaged to former Idols SA winner, Khaya Mthethwa, and lobolo was paid. The engagement was apparently called off when the television star discovered damning messages between her then fiancé Khaya and friend and fellow actress, Jessica Nkosi, which revealed an uncomfortably close relationship between the two.
This news come after her fans started wondering if she’s pregnant when she posted a mini video on social media wearing a blue and white floral dress that made her seem like she had a bun in the oven. Her fans asked her if she was expecting a baby.
Nomzamo, seemingly shocked by the questions on her timeline replied,“What the hell guys! I’m not pregnant! Can’t a girl wear a dress without it having to be tight and fitted?”
Well, the matter was further fuelled by the alleged boyfriend Maps. He also commented, denying impregnating Nomzamo. He simply said, “Not mine”.
When Move! tried to call her for comment, Nomzamo’s phone was on voicemail. At the time of going to print, she had not yet responded the emails sent to her.
