SELF-PROCLAIMED Queen of Kwaito, “Mshoza”, real name Nomasonto Maswanganyi, is said to have left ANN7’s Football Extra producers hanging!

The Abantu Bam hitmaker allegedly failed to pitch, when she was supposed to appear on the show, last month.

A station insider said:“To drop the interview at the last minute was highly unprofessional. This might negatively impact on her future interviews.”

Another source said Mshoza needed to mend her relationship with the media.

“She can’t be a bad girl all her life. Her latest single is proof she has it in her to bring back the original kwaito sound that people fell in love with.

“It’s a chance to revive her music career – that took a back seat after all the personal drama she was known for,” said the second source.

The mole added that Mshoza didn’t even bother explaining, as she let her team do the cancelling.

But Mshoza explained her side of the story to the SunTeam: “They told me on Saturday – which was one day before the show, which was aired on the Sunday.

“They also gave me two time slots, and so I ended up not knowing which show I was supposed to go in for.

“I think the initial person they wanted to interview dropped them – and I was their plan B.

“It’s really not my fault that the situation ended up like this,” she said.

ANN7’s Moegsien Williams couldn’t be reached for comment.

Mshoza is making a career comeback, and has been getting gigs since the release of her single.

Her next album will be out before long.

She’s a partner in a happy traditional marriage to successful businessman, Thuthukani Mvula.
