Up and coming actress Makgotso M, says even though her career is thriving now, there was a point in 2015 where she almost thought of moving back to the UK.

Speaking to Bona Magazine, Makgotso said that in 2015 things got so hard for her that her mother suggested she comeback to UK to do nursing and she was seriously considering it.

However, just before she headed back, in early 2016, Makgotso’s luck started to change.

“In February 2016, I received a call to inform me that I received the role of Onica in Muvhango,” she tells the magazine.

After that Makgotso started to get more auditions which led to her landing therole in SABC 3 soapie Isidingo, playing Kamegelo Tsotetsi.

“My luck was changing. Even though I was cast for these roles at different times, things started to get better,” she says.

After that Makgotso went on to land roles on Saint and Sinners and Is’thunzi.

Despite how bleak the initial picture looked Makgotso M has now risen to be one of Mzansi’s sort after up and coming actresses.
