ACCLAIMED Mzansi actress and producer, Terry Pheto, is unstoppable!
She continues to make moves on big and small screens globally.
Beautiful and talented, she also shares her wealth of knowledge with up-and- coming TV presenters who want a piece of all the glam that comes with being in the limelight.
She is on the judging panel of The Search: E! Host South Africa, a competition looking for Mzansi’s top TV host.
Speaking to Sunday Sun, Terry said she’s happy to be mentoring up-and-coming personalities.
“I’m going to be looking for talent, talent and more talent! It’s not enough to have a certain look – I need to see confidence in the contestants,” said the Evaton-born actress.
Showing hopefuls how it’s done, the show is hosted by seasoned presenter Andile Ncube and aired for the first time on Wednesday.
The eight contestants are: Danine Naidoo, Mosa Kaiser, Abigail Visagie, Sian Moss, Ayanda Nhlapo, Katleho Sinivasan, Juan-Martin Jordt and Jessica Tims.
They will tackle weekly challenges and survive eliminations, while cameras follow their every move.
“Being an actor myself, I know what it’s like to be in their shoes.
“So I’ll be honest and kind in my judging. But I’ll need to see effort put in.
“It’s going to be a beautiful journey and I’m happy to be part of the project,” said Terry.
Terry has just scooped another nomination as best supporting actress for the role of Naledi Khama in the movie, A United Kingdom, at the National Film Awards UK.
