The chairman of Orlando Pirates, Irvin Khoza, has announced that the club is set to announce a new coach on Monday next week

Dr Khoza says Benni McCarthy & other potential coaches must follow the same procedure: they must apply. We will weigh it up from there, All the applicants will be measured based on the criteria we are looking at as a Club. We won't just hire at random.

The coach we were looking for, that we promised to announce in January is now available in May. We won't wait that long"

The Buccaneers have been without a head coach since the resignation of Muhsin Ertugral in November last year.

The Turkish mentor resigned from the club following a disappointing 6-1 loss against SuperSport United in November.

Now, following their 6-0 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns on the weekend, the Buccaneers are expected to appoint a new coach to take the team forward.

“Next week Monday we will be announcing a new coach. We were restricted to do so in January by prohibitive buy-out clauses,” Bucs chairman said as quoted by the club on Twitter.
