Nomzamo Mbatha's brother has been left shaken after two of his friends are fighting for their lives in hospital, following the fatal KZN taxi accident on Wednesday.
As reported yesterday four school children were killed and about 20 others were injured when a taxi collided with a bus in Ntazuma in KZN.While Nomzamo's brother was not travelling in the taxi at the time, he was traumatised by the incident as two of his friends were badly injured in the accident.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday night, the actress spoke out about the accident. "It just so happened that my mom said he shouldn't go to school today... his 2 friends (16 & 17 years old) are fighting for their lives," Nomzamo said.
The actress expressed anger over the alleged overloading of taxis in the area.
"The taxi which is supposed to have 15 passengers had 22 school kids. The driver was trying to overtake a bus, driving in a rush," she added.
Nomzamo said that the accident had left her heartbroken.
