Veteran actress Abigail Kubeka has just scored big – the star is one of the faces of Vodacom Summer Campaign
Abigail, along with fellow entertainers Usha Khan, Gaenor Becker and Elize Cawood are the new “Instagrannies” who’ll represent the campaign.
When DRUM spotted Abigail at the recent launch at Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Johannesburg, she was upbeat about the endeavor.
“I am very excited about this campaign” she gushed “I’m filming with women who I respect and love. For an artist at my age who is 73, to still be getting gigs is something.”
Abigail said filming for the campaign was quite exciting, even though it was cold in the western Cape where the shoot took place.
“I had the most fun and I got to learn the ins and outs of mobile phones and the digital age,” she laughed.
Abigail, who always looks elegant and poised, also offered tips on how to instantly achieve her flawless look: “Its all about walking upright. Don’t slouch or walk with your head down,” she advised. “That’s how you always look on point.”
Now that’s a word from the wise.
