Actress Thina Jaxa who plays May Gumede on e.tv's Gold Diggers is said to be a sangoma and a prophet. According to a REPORT Thina has been a trained sangoma and prophet for 17 years and she's been keeping it a secret.
Sunday World revealed that the actress confirmed the news after being asked by her friends after seeing her in her sangoma regalia at her cousin's house warming party. Tina said she answered the calling when she was still married to the late businessman Prosper Mkwaiwa.
“Yes, I can confirm that I’m a Sangoma and a Prophet although it’s something that I didn’t want to talk about publicly. I’m not ashamed of it but out of respect for my culture and tradition, I prefer not to talk about it,” said Jaxa.
