Tokollo Tshabalala, son to the late kwaito star opens up on the passing of his dad.

In a recent interview on SABC News, Mandoza's manager, Kevin Ntaopane and his son spoke fondly of the now late kwaito star.

An emotional yet strong Tokollo expressed fond memories of his father and how he just wanted to be the best dad he could be to his kids.

"I think I'm just happy that my dad died a proud man because he had everything he wanted in life. Every time he'd tell me that he never got a chance to spend time with his dad, so all he ever wanted was to raise his children." Said Tokollo.

Tokollo also shared how Mandoza wouldn't let him go to boarding school because he wanted to spend more time with his kids.

Ever since I was in primary I would always tell him 'Daddy daddy I want to go to boarding school.' And the first thing he'd tell me is NO!. 'I never got the chance to spend time with my dad, so I'm willing to take that chance with you and the other two, so when I'm gone one day, I need you to be strong.' Said Tokollo as he shared fond memories of his late father.

Kevin also shared how Mandoza was so persistent to perform at the Thank You SABC concert despite the Dr's strict orders not to perform. Kevin said that Mandoza wanted to prove that he was not sick, that he would rather die on stage because he was born to do this, Kevin also confirmed that Mandoza died in his arms.

Mandoza began making headlines earlier in the month when his family confirmed that he was diagnozed with brain tumor.
