Actor Terrence Howard is a father again after welcoming his fifth child.
The 47-year-old Empire star took to Twitter on Friday (12Aug16) to announce that he and his wife Mira Pak are now parents to baby boy Hero.
“Hero being held by Qirin,” he captioned a picture featuring the couple’s first child, 15-month-old Qirin, holding his little brother and kissing him on the forehead.
Aside from the two tots he shares with Pak, Howard is also dad to daughters Heaven and Aubrey, and son Hunter, with his first ex-wife Lori McCommas.
Terrence and Mira’s path to domestic happiness has been rocky in recent years. The couple, which married in late 2013, secretly divorced in July, 2015, just two months after baby Qirin was born (May15). They managed to keep the split quiet until the actor’s marital status was brought up as part of his court battle with his second wife Michelle Ghent over their divorce settlement.
Last summer (15), Howard cried on the stand as he was questioned about his divorce agreement with Michelle, and during the proceedings, Mira was referred to as Terrence’s “ex-wife”, which brought their breakup into the fore. The emotional hearing turned out to be favourable for the star, as his agreement with Michelle was overturned by a judge, who stated the actor had been coerced into signing it after their split in 2011.
Soon after the ruling, Terrence and Mira rekindled their relationship, walking the Emmy Awards red carpet together arm in arm in September (15) and by Christmas, the star was already thinking about becoming a father again.
“We’re hopefully trying to make another baby…,” he told Extra. “We want astrology, we want the signs to match up, we need a baby born in September.”
