Kylie Jenner has assured fans her mum Kris Jenner is OK after she was involved in a nasty car accident on Wednesday (03Aug16).
The Kardashian family matriarch’s week-old white Rolls Royce collided with a Prius as she attempted to turn onto a freeway near her home in Calabasas, California, and the damage was so bad both vehicles had to be towed from the scene of the crash.
Initial reports suggested Kris had broken her wrist in the accident, but Los Angeles sheriff’s officials have since told the Los Angeles Times newspaper that Jenner did not require serious medical treatment at the scene.
She and the driver of the Prius both declined to be taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. No citations were issued.
Jenner’s representatives have yet to release a statement about the car crash, but her daughter Kylie has tweeted: “I was not involved in the accident. Everything’s ok.”
Asked for an update on her mum, she later added: “Yes! She’s okay!”
The 60-year-old was alone in her new car when the Prius turned in front of the reality star in an attempt to get on the southbound 101 freeway. The identity of the other motorist has not been released.
This isn’t the first time this year members of the Kardashian clan have been involved in potentially life-threatening transport situations. Back in April (16) Kim Kardashian and her older sister Kourtney had to undergo an emergency helicopter landing in Iceland while celebrating Kourtney’s 37th birthday. The siblings documented the terrifying scenario and shared the video with fans on social media, but fortunately no one was harmed in the scary incident.
