International R&B superstar Seal chose South Africa as the first country to kick-start his 12-country world tour.

He performed at the TicketPro Dome in Joburg on Sunday.

Speaking at a press junket, the 53-year old star said he loves South Africa, because “it’s a progressive country, so it was a natural choice for me to want to come here first”.

The four-time Grammy Award winner spoke fondly about Africa and also mentioned the fact that his parents hail from the continent.

“South Africans are very warm people and I must say, I think the accent is very sexy. I know from experience, because I once dated a South African woman and I thought her accent was very sexy,” he chuckled.
