A DA meeting hosted by former party leader Helen Zille came to an abrupt end when Patriotic Alliance (PA) members forced their way into Eersterust Civic Centre demanding that she leave.
Over 50 members stormed into a hall as Zille was speaking. Some PA members swore at Zille shouting, 'Voetsek, you white bitch', as her security personnel moved in to protect her.
One member threatened to kill Zille because she had done nothing for coloured people.
While the commotion continued inside the hall, PA leader Gayton McKenzie sat comfortably in his luxury Mercedes-Benz watching from a distance.
DA mayoral candidate in Tshwane Solly Msimanga said the DA refused to be intimidated by anyone.
"I hope the people will go relay this story. I am happy the media is here so they can see how this party conducts itself," he said. ‎
Speaking to the media outside, McKenzie said he was going to fight the DA wherever they are.
"We are going to make war for them. Wherever they go they will see PA. They don't see coloured people in this country," he said.
