It turns out we were not the only ones who were impressed by Anga Makubalo’s brilliant acting. The actor also known in the music circle as Naak Musiq is now expanding his horizons joining SABC 3’s soapie, Isidingo.
He plays the character of Obakeng “Mlahlwa” Bhengu ,a rock driller on the soapie. Obakeng gets a job on Isibeko Gold’s Ultra Deep as a rock driller.
Isidingo is stirring things up a bit. With the return of Aphiwe Nzimande (played by Khanya Mkangisa), Parsons Matabane (Tshepo Maseko) and the gangster Georgie Zamdela, (Darlington Michaels), brace yourselves for an edge-of-your-seat drama.
The producers have decided to take the show back to its mining roots. According to Linda Bere who is a senior story-liner, “Isidingo has come of age and so are the stories we are telling. Add a stellar cast and you have a recipe for moving, top of the shelf entertainment. Exciting times ahead,” she declares. This means going down the mine-shafts and experiencing how Horizon Deep miners live on a day to day basis.
Other new faces joining include Soso Rungqu who will play a welder Morongwa Kau; former Tsha Tsha actor Robert Mpisi as Joseph Matlala and Makgotso M portraying Kamogelo Tsotetsi.
