Nomzamo Mbatha declared she will not stop until she gets her hands on that Oscar statuette. Now it looks like both her and another one of our Mzansi favourite leading ladies, Fulu Mugovhani, are a step closer to the dream.
Both ladies have been announced as nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards, popularly known as AMAAs.
The annual award show celebrates the crème de la crème of Africa’s film industry.
Nomzamo is nominated for her role in Tell Me Sweet Something, while Fulu clinched a nomination for a role in Ayanda.
“‘Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. . .’ #AMAA #AMAA2016,” Nomzamo tweeted in triumph.
Good luck ladies!
