The video which was allegedly shot in Nigeria shows a man being held down and whipped for committing adultery with someone else's wife. He was held down on a bench and whipped with sticks after an angry mob marched him through the village.
He got up in protest after four strikes but he was held down by a young man as the executioner continued to rain strokes on him. He made a second break for it when the pain became unbearable but he was lifted back unto the bench and held down as the flogging continued.

The punishment is reportedly supposed to serve as a deterrent to other potential adulterers and the video has been widely shared on social media.
