The record for the highest price ever paid for a single residential property in Africa has apparently been smashed after a Clifton house sold for R290 million. The mansion located on the slopes of Lion’s Head has reportedly been sold by the Dogon Group and was designed by award winning architect Stefan Antoni. It boasts spectacular views of the 12 Apostles and sits on 2 879 m² of prime Clifton real estate.

Denise Dogon the CEO and founder of Dogon Group Properties posted on her Facebook page that the “Stefan Antoni Masterpiece sold for R290.000.000.00 a record price that had never been achieved before in Africa”.
Work out the transfer duty on that sale. It’s crazy.
