Skeem Saam actor, Eric Macheru, is turning 30 today. He plays the role of Leeto Maputla on the popular SABC1 soapie.
Eric pursued film studies at AFDA while playing football. Those who did not know, apart from acting, the skinny actor can also perform wonders in the soccer pitch. He has previously won SABC 1 reality competition Sokka Kings in 2005 which made him to trek to Europe to train with English Premiership outfits, Tottenham Hotspur for a week. He also secured a year long contract with Highlands Cape Town and a sports management contract.
Leeto, as he is fondly known in the entertainment industry, was born in Botlokwa; a sprawling village outside the City of Polokwane. On Skeem Saam, he is a lawyer by profession but he is not interested in following the career he has studied for for four years, and opted for entertainment industry instead. He is a DJ and married to Mokgadi Matloga which is played by Pebetse ‘Nolo’ Matlaila.
