Former Athletics South Africa CEO Banele Sindani has been killed after a burglary at his house on Monday night.
According to reports, the 60-year-old Sindani was shot in the abdomen by an armed burglar and died on the scene.
Sindani is a former Secretary-General of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc).
He has previously served as Chief Executive of ASA and was involved with the organising of the Soweto Marathon in recent years.
