According to insiders, the goalie allegedly snubbed his ex-girlfriend Minnie Dlamini and was seen with his more recent ex, Sbahle Mpisane.

Sources close to the situation claim Itu refused to be interviewed by Minnie after the Soweto Derby last week.

One mole said: “He had no clue the interview was to be with his former fiancée. He then walked out on her.”

Minnie told Sunday Sun: “I was just there to do my job. I don’t call people for interviews. My producer does that.”

Allegations of a renewed love affair came after Itu left Chiefs’ Black Label Cup celebration and flew to KwaZulu-Natal to be at Sbahle’s umemulo.

Sources claim the two are trying hard to keep their rebound a secret.

One society mole alleged: “They’re happily back together again and trying to keep it a secret. We never thought it would happen – not after Sbahle broadcast their split on social media last year.”

Another source claimed: “Umemulo for Sbahle was held as she’s expecting Itu’s child. It’s unclear how many months pregnant.

“The Mpisanes believe in tradition. They didn’t want to see Sbahle getting pregnant before marriage,” said the mole.

Another source said: “We’re confused about Itu. She hasn’t said a thing about him. We were shocked to see him at her birthday party. To make matters worse, they were cosy and posed for photos.

“Sbahle hasn’t said a word even when we try to ask her about Itu. I doubt Sbahle is pregnant,” said the source.

Sbahle refused to comment, saying she was in church.

SuperSport spokesperson Clinton van der Berg said: “It’s the team and players’ prerogative to avail themselves. While disappointed not to get his views on camera, SuperSport has no issue whatsoever with his decision.”

Itu could not be reached for comment and Amakhosi spokesperson Vina Maphosa said he didn’t comment about private matters.
