TENSIONS are rising as Mzansi waits to see who will be crowned the fairest of them all!

12 beauties who were sought after and selected after thousands of hopefuls auditioned across the country are gearing for the final run.

Tonight the North West province is where it is at as the crowning of Miss SA 2017 will be unveiled.


The action takes place at the Sun City Super Bowl where one beautiful and intelligent lady will be the face of our country.

Before the nerves and final show down takes place the 12 met with former Miss SA 2014 who again made headlines and when she was crowned Miss World in 2014, Rolene Strauss.

If they had any doubt that they could not make it, Rolene showed them that it can be done as she made the country proud and brought the spotlight back on us.

Adé van Heerden (Herold’s Bay, Western Cape), Boipelo Mabe (Alexandra, Johannesburg), Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters (Sedgefield, Western Cape), Iman Mkwanazi (Lenasia, Gauteng), Kayla Malherbe (Mtunzi, Kwa-Zulu Natal), Nicole van Niekerk (Môregloed, Pretoria), Nompumelelo Mampholo (Diepkloof, Soweto), Odirile Sepeng (Mapobane, Pretoria), Priyeshka Lutchman (Yellowwood Park, Kwa-Zulu Natal), Shané Naidoo (Benoni, Gauteng), Shelbe Pretorius (Krugersdorp, Gauteng) and Yuta Raubenheimer (Kameeldrift, Pretoria) got to sit down with Rolene in hopes that her luck rubbed off some of them should they have needed the push.

If there was ever such a precious and sweet moment, this was it.

The crowned Miss SA tonight will receive prizes worth over R2 million rand including, R1-million in cash from sponsors Sun International and Cell C, a Nissan Juke, use of a fully furnished and serviced apartment for the year of her reign, Africology product and spa services, Smashbox makeup, SAA, Soviet Clothing, Discovery Insure, Bacher and Co fragrance and many more.

Varsity College has donated 12 bursaries valued at R44 000 for Miss South Africa to award to economically disadvantaged students to study a full degree or diploma qualification on a full time or part time basis at The Business School at Varsity College.
