Some stars publicly snatched their partners from another celebrity, while other exes went on to be good friends.

Minnie Dlamini and Sbahle Mpisane

Minnie Dlamini is currently happily engaged to TV producer Quinton Jones, but once upon a time she saw herself marrying a different man. Minnie and soccer star Itumeleng Khune were one of SA’s most loved-up couples.

“It was the kind of relationship I didn’t see ending. I did see myself marrying him,” Minnie told Real Talk with Anele in 2016. But it was not meant to be, and Itumeleng went on to date fitness junkie Sbahle Mpisane – who reportedly dumped him last year for cheating.

Plot twist! Minnie was close friends with Sbhale’s mother, KZN businesswoman Shawn Mpisane.

DJ Zinhle and Bonang Matheba

DJ Zinhle and Bonnag Matheba found themselves in one of the biggest love triangles Mzansi has ever seen. DJ Zinhle dumped AKA in 2015 after he allegedly confessed to cheating on her with Bonang – while she was pregnant!

AKA and Bonang denied the cheating allegations, but several months later went public with their hot romance.

Minnie Dlamini’s current beau Quinton Jones was romantically linked to Pearl Thusi. But if you think Minnie and Pearl give each other side-eye whenever they run into each other, then think again.

The pair were booked for the same London gig in 2015, and the tabloids assumed sparks would fly. But they are on friendly terms, and couldn’t be bothered that they dated the same man. Not only do they follow each other on Instagram, but Pearl was one of the first celebrities to celebrate Minnie’s engagement.

AKA and DJ Euphonik

It really is a small world! Long before AKA and Bonang hooked up, Queen B was dating another famous man – DJ Euphonik.

Unlike many stars who seem to be on friendly terms with their exes, DJ Euphonik can’t seem to stop talking about Bonang. He has dissed SA’s media darling on several occasions, including in an epic “nonke” Twitter rant in 2016.

But the plot thickens! DJ Zinhle and DJ Euphonik have become good friends, and she was even seen rocking a “Nonke” T-shirt after the Twitter drama.

Amanda du-Pont has found her prince charming in Brazilian hottie Shawn Rodriques. But the actress’ fairy-tale romance with rapper Cassper Nyovest – Boity’s ex – did not end well.
After confirming their romance with a very public kiss in 2014, Cassper went on to diss Amanda by changing the lyrics of one of his songs to: “Amanda du-Pont ain’t tailored for me”. The original lyrics were, ‘If she ain’t no Amanda du-Pont, she ain’t tailored for me”. Amanda responded to the diss by denying they were not even a real couple. Ouch!

Khanyi Mbau and Primrose Crous


Khanyi Mbau caused a media frenzy in 2009 when she started dating a rich married man. Businessman Theunis Crous’ wondering eye saw him cheating on his wife Primrose Crous with Khanyi – who was a self-proclaimed gold digger at the time.


But Primrose had the last laugh, because not only did she manage to snatch her hubby back from Khanyi’s manicured claws, but she was also named one of the se_xiest celebrities in South Africa in 2010 – beating her nemesis, Khanyi.
