Pirates striker Ayanda Nkosi accused of fighting over womenin a tavern

NEWLY-SIGNED Orlando Pirates striker, Ayanda Nkosi, was allegedly involved in a tavern brawl that left a man fighting for his life.
Sunday Sun has been told Ayanda was part of a group of players who stabbed a man in the Free State, early last month.
A police source said Ayanda arrived at the tavern called CNR in Bethlehem with a few friends, who are also soccer players.
The source said Ayanda’s friend started making moves on some ladies who were at the tavern.
“They started buying booze for the ladies,” said the source.
Another source claimed problems started when the guy who was with the ladies wanted to leave with them.
“Ayanda and his friends felt the guy was taking their investment. They confronted him and told him to leave without the girls,” said the source.
The second source said when the guy refused to leave alone, a fight broke out. The source said Ayanda and his friends were losing and he called for back up.
“Six players arrived and started beating up the guy,” said the source.
“They accused him of using them to entertain the ladies. They said they had spent a lot of money on those women and wouldn’t allow him to take them,” the source alleged.
The source, who is a paramedic, claimed Ayanda and the victim started fighting and the other guys joined in to help Ayanda.
“They took out knives and stabbed the poor guy. When they realised he was injured, they left him there bleeding,” said the source.
The victim was allegedly rushed to Ditlhabeng Hospital in Bethlehem accompanied by one of the ladies they fought over.
“People think cops didn’t arrest Ayanda as he’s a celeb. The victim spent three weeks in hospital,” said the source. Ayanda was not available for comment.
