Isibaya actor Mduduzi "Mdu" Gumede is rumoured to have fallen head over heels in love with a mysterious woman from the Vaal.
According to sources close to the couple, Gumede, famously known for playing the timid taxi driver Ntandane on the Mzansi Magic soapie, is apparently besotted with the woman known as Phindile Kubeka.
Our mole said: "He (Gumede) has really found love with a beautiful woman. I can go as far as to say he is smitten with his new girlfriend.
"She (Kubeka) is from the Vaal, but now stays in Kyalami, in Midrand.
"The couple is so happy they are always together, everywhere. She has met the Isibaya cast."
When contacted, Gumede laughed it all off at first, but later denied that Kubeka was his girlfriend. "We are just good friends. If she was my woman, I would not hesitate introducing her to my family and not to the Isibaya cast members," he said.
"I absolutely have no reason denying it - if at all I was in love. I kissed her on the cheek during the Durban July to show my appreciation of our friendship.
"The woman I am in love with is in Durban and we are taking things slowly, but will let our families know when we take our relationship to another level, when the time is right."
