Menzi Ngubane took some convincing, and there were rumours that he might join Muvhango or even return to Generations - The Legacy, but he too can now be seen on Ashes to Ashes.

The star was a late addition but now plays the role of Nkonzo.

Nambitha joined rival soapie Ashes to Ashes. The actress also spends her time behind the scenes as a producer as well as a motivational speaker.

Seputla Sebogodi (Kenneth Mashaba)



Apart from making tabloid headlines for his dodgy lovelife with a woman young enough to be his daughter, Seputla joined e.tv's Rhythm City in February this year.

Katlego Danke (Dineo Mashaba)



Katlego Danke gave birth to a gorgeous baby and since leaving Generations, she has become a lot more open about her personal life. She is also the current Lotto presenter.

Maggie Benedict (Akhona)




Sjoe, Maggie has had the hardest year out of all the former cast members! Many will remember her being charged for allegedly stealing a box of Panado tablets from her local grocer.
Thankfully she has been acquitted and is now planning her return to the small screen.

Sophie Ndaba (Queen Moroka)


Sophie hasn't done too badly for herself! She was the face of Cell C earlier this year and is currently a judge on the Miss South Africa panel.

Zolisa Xaluva (Jason Malinga )


While everybody else was moving to e.tv, Jason decided to be bold and move to Mzansi Magic's Zabalaza. It didn't pay off because the show has just been cancelled.

Zenande is also part of the Ashes to Ashes cast.

Thami Mngqolo (Senzo Dlomo)

Despite recently fathering a child with fellow soapie actress wife Jo-Anne Reyneke, Thami isn't doing as well as some of his former costars in the career department. Reports came out in June that the actor was struggling financially and that the repo man was chasing him for outstanding payments on a car.
